2010 Raleigh Walk to Stop Child Trafficking Now

Nearly 150 years ago, the United States abolished slavery. Most North Carolinians would find it hard to believe that slavery still exists, and may occur in their own communities.

Today's version of slavery, human trafficking, deprives people of their freedom and violates our nation's promise that every person in the United States is guaranteed basic human rights.

SCTNow has launched its 2010 Nationwide Walk Campaign in an effort to end child slavery. Communities from around the United States are walking together the weekend of October 3, 2010 to Stop Child Trafficking Now!

Soroptimist International of Raleigh is organizing and fielding a team of walkers for the 2010 Stop Child Trafficking Now (SCTNow) Raleigh Walk.
