At Soroptimist International of Raleigh, our mission has been rooted in empowering women and helping them achieve their full potential through education. This March, we are proud to continue that mission by awarding a total of $5,000 to 13 deserving recipients through our EmpowerHer Award program.
The EmpowerHer initiative was created with a clear and compassionate purpose: to ensure that more women receive the support they need—even if they were not selected for the Live Your Dreams Award. We recognize that many applicants are taking bold, proactive steps toward improving their lives through education, and their efforts deserve to be acknowledged and supported.
That’s why EmpowerHer is committed to assisting at least 25% of women who applied for support but did not receive the Live Your Dreams Award. By doing so, we are expanding our impact and reaching more women who are determined to overcome obstacles and build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Each of this year’s 13 recipients has demonstrated resilience, ambition, and a strong commitment to their educational goals. Whether balancing work, family responsibilities, or financial challenges, these women embody perseverance—and we are honored to be part of their journey.
Education is more than a pathway to a career; it is a powerful tool for transformation. Through programs like EmpowerHer, we aim to break down barriers and create opportunities that can change lives for generations to come.
