Chef Netta Brings Flavor—and Gratitude—to Our March Meeting
Soroptimist International of Raleigh was delighted to welcome back Chef Netta, a 2021 Live Your Dream Award recipient, as the caterer for our March 10, 2026 monthly meeting.
Chef Netta prepared a delicious farm-inspired meal for our members, featuring chicken and vegetarian pastas, broccolini, fresh focaccia bread, and a beautiful strawberry shortcake for dessert. The meal was both comforting and vibrant, and it made our gathering feel especially welcoming.
During the meeting, Chef Netta shared a few words about her journey since receiving the Live Your Dream Award. She spoke with heartfelt appreciation about the support she received from Soroptimist and how meaningful that encouragement has been as she continues building her culinary career.
Today, Netta is busy creating farm-to-table meals for her clients, teaching family cooking classes, and serving as Head Chef at Spring Forest, a Hillsborough farm and spiritual community center. Her work reflects the same creativity, care, and passion that we experienced at our meeting.
We are grateful to Chef Netta for catering our March gathering and for sharing an update on her journey. It was a delicious meal, an inspiring story, and a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact of the Live Your Dream Award.
