January is National Puzzle Month, and Soroptimist International of Raleigh is celebrating with not one, but two puzzle-filled events that will bring people together, build community, and support programs that empower women and girls through education.
The celebration begins with our first-ever Puzzle Swap on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Raleigh Brewing Company. Bring your gently used jigsaw puzzles and trade them for something new-to-you. All ages, puzzle sizes and types are welcome, with completed puzzles preferred. Puzzles will be exchanged for free, and participants are asked to note if any piece(s) are missing.
And because no celebration is complete without a little extra fun, we’ll also be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win themed gift baskets — including a beer-themed basket with goodies from Raleigh Brewing Company. The Soroptimist Puzzle Swap is the perfect way to refresh your puzzle collection, connect with fellow puzzle lovers, and enjoy local craft beers.
Next up is our 8th PuzzleMania on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Highland United Methodist Church. PuzzleMania is our popular speed-puzzling fundraiser where teams of four race to complete an identical 500-piece puzzle in the fastest time. There will be prizes for the top finishers and best team name, plus a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and a silent auction.
Whether you’re swapping puzzles, racing to complete one at PuzzleMania, or simply enjoying a cold brew with friends, these events are about more than just fun and games. They’re opportunities to connect with your community, meet fellow puzzle enthusiasts, and celebrate creativity and teamwork.
Every ticket purchased, every puzzle swapped, and every raffle entry helps fund Soroptimist Dream programs which provide women and girls with the access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.
By participating, you’re not only enjoying a day of puzzles and prizes — you’re also making a tangible difference in the lives of women and girls in our community.
