Lyndsay will graduate from the University of North Carolina, Pembroke with her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in December 2020. With this degree, she can become a supervisor in the Peer Support field where she currently works as a certified Career Support Specialist.

Lyndsay grew up in an abusive household. She became and addict and was in an abusive relationship for six years. She left the relationship and moved back to North Carolina to carve out a healthier life for herself and her daughter.

Currently in long-term recovery, Lyndsay works with other recovering addicts and people with mental health diagnosis, providing the support they need to achieve their goals.

Lyndsay is motivated by her desire to set an example for her daughter and teach her that she can do anything she sets her mind to as long as you work for it. And Lyndsay is doing just that.
