Soroptimist members typically engage in service projects throughout the year with local women’s groups, nonprofits, and community organizations that share our goals of improving the lives of women and children. While the realities of COVID-19 have hampered our ability to gather for in-person projects, we are very much still finding way to contribute.
In advance of September’s membership meeting, members donated items to benefit the women served by InterAct, the only provider of domestic violence and sexual assault services in Wake County, North Carolina.
On September 23 Soroptimist members delivered 9 boxes of personal hygiene products, personal care items, hand sanitizer & masks, laundry detergent, socks, underwear and many other much needed things for the InterAct clients.
