Members of Soroptimist of Raleigh wrapped up the 2022 – 2023 club year with a lively dinner social at Cantina 18 in Raleigh. In addition to a review of the accomplishments of the past year by President Betsy Miller, newly elected board members were installed by charter member Linda Drummond. These included Co-Presidents Lynn Kavcsak and Betsy Miller, Vice-President Mary Ann Akin, Treasurer Suzanne Conner, Co-Secretaries Laurie Limbrick-Thompson and Pat Lynch, and Directors Marcia Attmore and Betty Hyatt.
Four women were inducted as new Soroptimist members, and Amy Beltran, one of our 2023 Live Your Dream awardees, was introduced to share a little of her background and her educational plans. Amy had received a $2000 grant in March to help with any expenses related to her education. Members enjoyed a fajita buffet, door prizes and lots of conversation and laughter. The next occasion simply can’t come soon enough!
